Strutting his stuff

 While admiring a flowering aloe at The Living Desert, we noticed a determined little costa hummingbird sitting on a nearby perch waiting for his portrait to be taken. We obliged.

We frequently debate whether we are looking at a Costa or Anna Hummer. This little guy let us know. The brilliant purple "gorget" is the sign of a Costa we've been looking for.
