We spent the afternoon visiting Moorten Botanical Gardens. A lifetime of collecting succulents from around the world is on display - in fact, the son who has inherited the garden explained that pretty much very little grows in the Coachella Valley where Palm Springs is. The exotic plants on display need more water and less sun. These precious plants need shade in the harsh summer. Here are a few.
